Practice (improvement Zone) Coaching Day

“I sit down with my coach and we kind of plan short term goals, so what I want to achieve from the indoor season, what competitions I want to do and what I want to get out of them. And then long term goals for year upon year. Um, and then during an actual heptathlon you kind of know where you’re at from your training and what you roughly want to get from each event.” (Jessica Ennis)
“While most are dreaming of success… winners wake-up and work hard to achieve it.”
“I think a hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.” (Christopher Reeve, actor and motivational speaker)
“Nobody’s a natural. You work hard to get good and then work to get better. It’s hard to stay on top.”
“If we are to achieve results never before accomplished, we must expect to employ methods never before attempted.” (Francis Bacon)
“Working hard overcomes a whole lot of other obstacles. You can have unbelievable intelligence, you can have connections, you can have opportunities fall out of the sky. But in the end, hard work is the true, enduring characteristic of successful people.” (Rear Admiral Marsha Evans)
“Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.” (Michael Jordan)
“Being professional in whatever you do is important, talent alone is not enough.” (Kathy Ireland)
“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” (C.S. Lewis)

For; Any player with an interest in improving their golf or for those who have scored low on the practice (improvement zone) of the GOLFiq test.

Overview; Practice is often seen as a dirty word is most golfers vocabularies as is it often deemed boring and time consuming. However, only practice that is conducted poorly fits into this category and those who do engage with quality and challenging practice have found it enjoyable and game enhancing.

Improving your golf game will not happen on its own; you have to strive for success (whatever that might be!) and consciously make the effort to improve your golf game. For this to happen you have to know you and your golf game intimately so you can appreciate all of your moving parts (mental & physical) to be able to recognise the areas that are weak or the parts of your game that lack the correct application of skills.

The practice zone workshop provides players with the skills and awareness to actively take control of their own improvement through the application of key practice fundamentals.

These fundamentals seek to improve the application of practice and as a consequence practice is not seen as a boring necessity but as a fun and challenging addition to your golfing life.

The workshop is packed with games and challenges that will provide pressure, fun, excitement and information about your golf game that you can actively work upon to achieve your golfing goals.
